First and foremost, I have an insatiable urge to learn, seek out knowledge, and accumulate skills. Having spent nearly a decade in the emergency medical services, I can confidently say my experience there has conditioned and honed my individual and team problem solving skills within the confines of a stressful working environments. I then chose to expand my knowledge, transitioning into a new industry, welding and industrial manufacturing. As a graduate of HIWT I am proud to say I never allowed a moment to be wasted gathering wisdom from their varied range of their professional instructors. Applying my team skills, wood working experience, and blueprint knowledge, I was able to seamlessly transition into working with an engineering team as their lead fabricator. There I built an entire weld-cell, built and assisted in the designs of part fixtures, and taught myself to become familiar with and program a dated Daihen OTC AX-C / Almega V6 robot – that is no longer supported. This weld-cell is now running multiple production parts that previously required tens of thousands of man hours a year to accomplish.
