Served as lead investigator, supervising staff within the Freedom of Information Act Unit, coordinating the Unit’s work with other units across all four Bureaus, and interacting directly with the Division of Legal Counsel, legal representation for regulated facilities and the general public. Specific duties included maintenance of trade secrecy and confidentiality for regulated facilities, protecting the identity of complainants/whistleblowers, and shielding the Agency from litigious vulnerabilities; interpretation and application of the Code of Federal Regulations and Public Laws; interpretation, application, and drafting of Illinois Legal Code.
