Lead the delivery of sustainable and climate finance initiatives in Latin American and Caribbean countries, including the development of sustainable bond programs through the Global Trust Fund on Sustainable Finance Instruments.

Manage and track global sustainability performance to ensure compliance with ESG frameworks and CSRD and SEC regulations and provide guidance and advise for the development of projects and programs that contribute to achieve corporate targets and objectives in the transition to a low carbon economy.

Developed a comprehensive strategy for the engagement with International Financial Institutions (IFIs), mainly multilateral development banks, to position the WFP as a strategic partner in the implementation of national and regional development agendas focused on social protection. The strategy included proposals for the development of new financial mechanisms and adjustment of operational policies to tailor to the functionality of multilateral development banks to increas the mobilization of additional funding.

Managed a portfolio of strategic programs focused on SME financing through financial intermediation with more than 60 financial institutions in the Latin American region with yearly disbursements amounting to more than USD 1.5 billion. The portfolio includes strategic initiatives that were developed with partners such as EU, KFW, GCF and other international entities to support financial inclusion throughout the Central American region. The programs developed were focused on women entrepreneurship, climate friendly investments, seed capital and innovation, renewable energy, social housing, sustainable tourism and education that benefitted millions of SMEs throughout the region with yearly disbursements of USD 1.5 billion.

Developed and managed a portfolio of regional integration projects in areas such as energy, telecommunications, logistics, railway network, customs union, amongst other key sectors that drive the economic development of the Central American region. The position required to partner with key stakeholders from the public and private sector and other multilateral development organizations tostrengthen regulations, policies and legal frameworks that provide an enabling environment for regional integration projects.

Developed and executed CABEI’s external affairs and strategic partnership strategy and plan that resulted in the incorporation of South Korea as a member country, accreditation to the Green Climate Fund and Adaptation Fund, accreditation as observer to numerous UN entities and strengthening of relationships with multilateral agencies that resulted in more than 25 regional public goods.

Succesfully implemented 103 social development projects benefiting 1.6 million people in 57 municipalities across the Central American border zone regions. Of these projects 98% had a direct effect on the MDG's and 39% were directed to MDG number 7.The cost-benefit for each dollar invested by the Program was an average basis for Guatemala, El Salvador, Honduras, Nicaragua and Costa Rica of US$23.73Supervised the Program's budget of over USD40 million, of which more than 90% was directed to projects. The funds provided by the Program fostered a total investment of US$150 million through resource mobilization efforts with other donors and multilateral development banks

Coordinated the identification of potential projects to be presented to CABEI through more than 3,900 stakeholders in 57 municipalities in Central American border zones that resulted in the presentation of more than 190 proposals.
