Senior Art Director
Current– Build, document, and evolve Symphony - Sonos's multi-platform design system for consumer-facing applications that consists of multiple interdependent libraries. – Lead programs and projects to create high quality, usable and delightful visual design assets and frameworks. – Provide Figma expertise, building robust and thoroughly documented component libraries, color systems foundations, token systems, and asset libraries that enable designers to work consistently, at broader scales, and more efficiently.– Provide a point of view on visual design, visual design quality, visual systems thinking and identity with the intention of teaching, empowering designers, and bringing the Sonos brand to life in the best possible light.– Liaison to external teams, acting as a bridge to find meaningful opportunities to connect with non-software teams such as Industrial Design, Brand, and Marketing.– Facilitating conversations with engineering in ways that provide guidance on what to build and the best way to build it.– Manage vendor / contract relationships with external or temporary resources.– Empower and educate designers to maximize their capability with hands-on training, regular office hours, and creative guidance around Symphony usage.– Mentor and partner with UX designers to provide assets, access and information that enable design implementation.– Driving process improvements to make work done more transparently and efficiently.
