Telecom has become a key enabler for economic growth of a country from a mere telephony service. Telecom enables connectivity playing catalyst role to not just e-economy of a country but also big support for core sectors like Infra, Manufacturing, FMCG and now even farming. Telecom has become a tool for Inclusive society powering initiatives like e-health, e-education, financial inclusion and information democratization. I have been lucky to be associated with telecom since 1997 and played my small part in furthering the cause. Having done roles starting field engineer all the way up to CEO for a country operation, board member roles driving business strategy and of course as CTO driving technology strategy, operational excellence and cost leadership. What drives me now is to bring higher level of automation in all domains (#autonomousnetworks ) and also building safe, resilient and secure network. On innovation side I believe there are solutions to be created with telecom as a key ingredient, we are just getting started as a sector influence beyond pure play connectivity.
