This position is seasonal, active when an election is scheduled.Oversee the operation of a polling place, supervising and training other election board workers. Follow precise procedures for setting up, opening, and closing polls. Ensure election law compliance. Secure and transporting ballots to and from the county election office. Troubleshooting registration and other anomalies as they arise, guiding voters through the steps to cast their ballot. Communicate with the election office when more information is needed to resolve a difficult situation. Coordinate with the contact person at the facility to prepare the poll for Election Day. Make recommendations to the Election Commissioner for staffing of the next election based on performance of board workers during the previous election.
