About Randy Aakhus
As a software engineer at Kajabi I developed robust, scalable, modular and API-centric infrastructures. I also planned and implemented RESTful web services for client requirements, and analyzed data to coordinate installation of new systems or modification of existing systems.Previously, I worked as a software engineer at Verys, where I worked with large scale enterprise applications running microservices for Rails/Sinatra for millions of users. I upgraded from Rails 4.1 to 5.2.4, served as a subject matter expert on Stadia/Amazon/Twitch for both clients and internal team members, and trained remote teams in Hungary to be familiar with current working applications. I also worked on-call rotation with team members to solve problems occurring in production environments.I have a B.A. in Economics from UC Santa Barbara, and a Full-Stack Web Development certificate from UC Irvine Division of Continuing Education. I am passionate about learning and growing as a technology professional, and I have skills in JavaScript, C#, SQL, Node.js, Ruby, Python, React, React Native, Rails, and Sinatra. I am also proficient in Datadog and MongoDB. My goal is to leverage my full-stack skills to create innovative and user-friendly solutions for complex problems.
