• Conduct safety inspections and identify hazards or unsafe acts/ conditions, then advice the responsible discipline or personnel to resolve or rectify noted deficiencies. Follow-up the rectification of noted deficiencies prevent recurrence.• Raise safety issues or concerns, that were not given action or not been rectified to the management despite repeated advice and a designated schedule.• Ensure and assist supervisors, foreman and charge hands in conducting daily pre-job toolbox talks.• Check and ensure presence of work plans, risk assessments and if required work permits (in specific area) while executing a specific job and ensure said documents are being followed.• Report noted violators for disciplinary action.• Gather facts and information for accident, near miss or incident reported.• Ensure the compliance by the concerned discipline to approved procedures with regards to safety requirements during testing (NDT, PWHT, Pre-commissioning of a unit of a unit & other as per the project requirement and practices.• Conduct monthly ladder, full body harness inspection and portable fire fighting equipment and practices, electrical equipment such us welding machine, extension cables and portable electrical tools.• Participate on joint weekly assessment inspection with on-site supervisors and detail noted comments. Follow-up action taken with regards to comments above comments.• Member of the Project rescue team and participate in training program.• Supervise and implement the company’s HS&E programs.• Implement all aspects of accident prevention and loss control such as fire prevention, property damage as personnel injury.• Carry out area surveys to see to it that safe work method are in operation, that Health and safety requirements are being observed.• Initiate stoppage when there is an imminent danger and take necessary measures.• Conduct safety toolbox talk about safety updates and current issues.
