We sold and supported multiple hardware platforms like Digital, HP, SUN, Tektronix etc. We sold ANVIL-5000 and ANVIL-1000MD PRO/ENGINEER, VERICUT, SMARTCAM and many other supporting applications. GMS was renowned for 5 Axis CNC Programming services and had many customers through out the USA. We sold Justin Peters Association Post Processors and supported MDSI customers. RMB Products was one of my Customers and eventually I went to work for them.

I completed apprenticeship as 2 years with 2 prior years credit from my prior apprenticeship. This was through the California State Board of Industrial Relations in conjunction with the NTMA. We made many types of Injection Molds. One of our largest customers was CAMBRO Corporation in Huntington Beach CA. I started manually programming CNC Mills at Contour in late 1985 and we purchased SmartCAM in 1986. I was featured in an Production and Tooling article in June 1986 that ultimately landed me a job with GMS selling SmartCAM and many other softwares and services.

I worked here many summers here as a teen, this was my first full time job. I did my 4 year Machinist apprenticeship here. This was my first apprenticeship through the California State Board of Industrial Relations in conjunction with the NTMA. My father and I had a disagreement. He said later he fired me so I could flap my wings. Kopf Instruments has at least 7 Nobel Laureate awards associated with their equipment. Not too shabby. Additionally Dad's company made the Vitrophage with Gholam A Peyman, the doctor who went on the invent LASIK.
