With more than 35 years of professional experience in the hospitality industry, I provide market and financial services for all types of real estate projects. My areas of specialization include market and financial feasibility analysis for dozens of hotel and conference center projects, economic impact and gap analysis for numerous public projects, management of the RFQ/RFP process for public entities, specialized expertise with medical-related hotel projects, projections of Hotel Occupancy Tax revenues for various public entities and asset management for several full-service hotel projects.Clients include private hotel owners and developers, all major sources of debt financing, all major hotel companies, and numerous municipalities and public agencies. I have assisted clients on assignments throughout the South Central Region of the U.S., including all of Texas, Louisiana and the southern Midwest. As an industry expert, I am a frequent speaker at industry conferences and am regularly quoted in industry publications and in the general press.Prior to my current role, I was in charge of the Houston and Dallas, Texas offices as a Managing Director of CBRE Hotels Consulting and a Senior Vice President with PKF Consulting USA. Prior to PKF, I was a Manager in KPMG Peat Marwick’s Hospitality and Leisure Consulting Practice, a Real Estate Analyst for the Resolution Trust Corporation and a Senior Consultant at Laventhol & Horwath after spending 10 years in operations in the Hospitality Industry.I am currently an Adjunct Professor at UH Hilton College of Hotel and Restaurant Management, where I teach a graduate course on hospitality market research as part of the Global Master's program. I also taught a graduate course at Rice University. I am an active Board Member on the Dean’s Advisory Board and Alumni Board at the UH Hilton College and recently completed a three-year term as the President of the UH Hilton College Alumni Board.
