Manages market and regulatory affairs activities, leading in-depth regulatory, market and strategic analysis for solar and energy storage project development across the western US and the CAISO markets. I have worked in the energy industry for more than 13 years. From 2007 to 2014, I was a Regulatory Policy Manager for San Diego Gas & Electric (SDG&E) responsible for developing and advocating federal and state regulatory policy, focusing primarily on CAISO wholesale energy market design, resource adequacy, and energy/capacity procurement. From 2014 to 2017, I co-led SDG&E’s Energy Storage group, and was responsible for assessing market opportunities for energy storage resources, designing and leading energy storage solicitations, drafting solicitation materials, performing bid evaluation, and bid selection. During this time, I drafted and negotiated contracts for over $200M in utility-owned storage acquisitions, led regulatory approval and outreach with Commission staff, and city officials, co-managed construction, contract administration, and initial commercial operation of North America’s largest operating lithium ion battery storage facility (30MW/120MWh), and led the resource’s integration into the CAISO markets.In 2017, I joined Sempra Renewables, overseeing market and regulatory affairs for utility-scale renewable development and origination across the United States. In 2018, I joined ConEd after it purchased Sempra's operating solar and energy storage development portfolios. I have a B.A. (cum laude) from the University of California, San Diego, and a J.D. (cum laude) from Golden Gate University School of Law. After graduation from law school and before working in the energy industry, I practiced civil litigation in San Francisco, and also served as a judicial law clerk.
