Research and Development along with sustainment of automatic gate operators and garage door operators for commercial and retail markets. SOLIDWORKS 2016 design software was used for new product design. Created and processed Engineering Change Notice’s utilizing the Agile Product Lifecycle Management software.

Packaged military grade power distribution electronics (PDU's) for the U.S. Army's manned ground combat vehicles. Programs worked included Abrams CEEP and ECP1, Crusader, Stryker WINT and ECP, and FCS. Electronic packaging design included developing layouts from concept to detail design of circuit card assembly form factors, backplane form factors, chassis castings, flex harnesses, wire harnesses, and associated mechanical components. Performed tolerance analyses and produced detail drawings of mechanical components contained within each PDU. Designated as departmental design checker to review drawing packages for fit, form, and function along with assuring company standards were followed. Identified design errors and deficiencies were returned to the responsible engineer for incorporation. Assembled and assisted with testing of each prototype PDU.

Created new product designs from product design specifications with project responsibility during and after the manufacturing phase. New product designs included electro-mechanical and mechanical assemblies. Other designs included sheet metal, machined components, die cast, plastic injection molded components, and packaging techniques for pay telephone products.

Designed and documented the Landing Gear System for the C-17A Maintenance Training Device. This included the Hydraulic, Landing Gear, and Nose Wheel Steering Systems. Designs and associated drawings included castings, machined components, hydraulic tubing, sheet metal components, and top level installations. Provided engineering support during the manufacturing phase of the training device.
