CurrentMedical Missions Organization with a strong disaster medical componate. Southeastern Medical International, Inc., or SMI, is a non-profit (501c3) tax-exempt medical mission organization that seeks to meet the needs of hurting people worldwide so that none may perish.SMI has developed a fully functional volunteer Disaster Relief Medical Team for the state of South Carolina with signed agreements with DHEC. Our DRMT team is compliant with NIMS (National Incident Management System) and has a mobile pharmacy with DEA license. It is the goal of SMI to:• Develop fully functional volunteer disaster relief medical teams throughout the United States • Provide hospital disaster preparedness training worldwide• Assist other governments and hospitals all over the world with their disaster preparedness• Help hospitals in developing countries with the procurement of used medical equipment and supplies that our local hospitals discard• Provide short-term medical mission teams to the poorest countries in the world Southeastern Medical International is an organization that adheres to strict best business practices.
