While I served in the United States Air Force, I didn’t really get the opportunity to pursue my passions as an automobile and racing enthusiast. In my spare time, primarily as a hobby, I was a support driver for a motorcycle club, a pit crew member for several racing teams and pursued my CDL. This is likely what led me to work for Nikola Motors, as it gives me the opportunity to stay in touch with the industry while driving innovative new technologies. As a safety and product trainer and customer account support representative, I play a key role in keeping our employees safe and ensuring our customers know how to use their new product programs effectively. Once I completed my military service in the Air Force, I went right into the same role with the Inspector General’s office, working as a government employee. Think of the Inspector General’s office as the compliance managers. We inspected operations to ensure people were following policies and we received and evaluated complaints to ensure we investigated and addressed any instances of fraud or any inappropriate or illegal behavior. Serving in that role for more than 13 years taught me exceptional communication skills, meticulous attention to detail and policy and the analytical ability to look at the facts of a situation and make decisions. I am very outgoing and personable and enjoy engaging with people. I have been very successful at building customer relationships, leading engaging training programs and ensuring the information that I deliver is understood, at levels of the organization. I am always looking for ways to bring my skills and my interests together to continue making a positive impact on an operation.
