Managed a team of five helpdesk and system administrators. Governed workflow of daily operation and all I.T. projects. Reported directly to the CTO. Designed, implemented and maintain all server, LAN and WAN technologies including 100% fault tolerant production networks using Cisco routers, switches, firewalls, load balancers, terminal servers and access servers. Engineered and implemented over 30 production servers ranging from Compaq 1800's to Sun Enterprise 4500's running Solaris 7, NT4 or LINUX. Implemented several mass storage system including Sun A1000 and FCAL based A5100. Designed, implemented and maintain several archive servers using DLT autoloaders, DDS3 and CDR devices running Legato Networker, Veritas BacupExec and retrospect software. Introduced and maintained the following network services: TCP/IP, DHCP, DNS, WINS, SMTP, SNMP, TELNETD, NNTP, SQLNET, XDMBC, EGRP, RIP, BGP, SMB and AppleTalk. Implemented and maintain instances of MS SQL, MS Exchange, Oracle 8i, HP OpenView, Vignette Story Server, Accrue Insight, Web Trends, LinkBot, Act, Sendmail, Samba, Squid and Apache. ACCOMPLISHMENTS: Maintained 24 x 7 availability of all production server delivering over five million page views a month. Successfully migrated all site production system from Microsoft SQL on Microsoft NT to Oracle8i running on Solaris 7. Exceeded 99.98% availability metrics for all networks and production servers. Devised and implemented a successful Y2K prevention plan. Created Perl and shell scripts to load test and benchmark production web servers, archive media, replicate data provide local and remote monitoring and automate routine administrative procedures.
