2013- General Foreman/Area Foreman 0n SH16 Causeway Project,a three year project Leighton Alliance worth over 200 million contract in Auckland NZ2012-2013 General Supervisor on Ultra Fast Broadband roll-out in Central Auckland. Responsible for resourcing all materials, plant and labour, health and safety, environments. Coordinating Supervisors and Project engineers.2011-2012 Maintenance Supervisor ARMA - a Leighton Maintenance Alliance. 2006-2011:Earthworks/Civil Supervisor on the SH2O-SH1 Manukau Extension project, a four year Leighton Alliance which was a $220 million contract in Auckland NZ.Rangi’s past 26 years in roles in the roading, infrastructure and construction industries have given him a broad range of technical skills, both hands-on and supervisory, in various civil roles.Rangi has in-depth understanding of drainlaying, kerbing, roading, and general earthworks, all types of machinery and extensive coordination around traffic control and working around live traffic,live services and mobile plant. He also has extensive experience in supervising (current role involves supervising a varying crew of up to 200 labour and contract staff on site) Rangi liaises with subcontractors, project managers, stakeholders and engineers, reporting contract progress, job safety, environmental analysis and H&S policies. He is responsible for pre-planning work for crew, providing coaching and training opportunities, overseeing safety procedures, quality of workmanship, and the morale and attitude of a crew.

(Civil Roading/Drainage Company). Duties involved supervising a crew of 21 members in various civil roles, drainlaying, kerbing, roading, and general earthworks. The role also included liaising with subcontractors, project managers and engineers, reporting contract progress, task analysis, and H&S policies. Projects included: ITB Auckland Airport Check-in upgrade, the AMP Hangar #7 (Light Industrial Precinct and Retail Expansion, Auckland Airport), Western Forecourt reconfiguration, and the Clendon Library.

Commenced working for AC Blackmore as a machine operator and progressed to Supervisory level. Projects included numerous roading projects (Whitford Rd stages 1-4 over a period of 2 years; Orere Pt 8-12 weeks; East Coast Rd - Silverdale 2 months; Cnr Wade and Coatesville Rd 2 months), all rehabilitation and upgrading and realignment of roads, and drainage projects - Mountain Rd Reliable Way – Penrose drainage upgrade; Pakuranga Creek drainage upgrade).
