● Planned, organized, and implemented outdoor education program for 50 elementary children ages 8-9 years old. ● Led hikes, hands-on ecology workshops, and developed environmental science curriculum.

Taught and designed curriculum for exposure level Spanish for 200+ elementary school students, from kindergarten to 6th grade, with instructional focus on language skills and cultural diversity within the Spanish speaking world.

● Taught environmental education to 3rd grade through 6th grade in ten different classrooms in three schools. ● Promoted participatory and hands-on learning, educational games, practicums and field observation.● Increased the capacity of 10 primary teachers to teach science curriculum, improving educational outcomes for 200 students.● Managed $3,600 USAID grant with community educators to bring new technology equipment and training to 4 schools, 49 educators, and 500 students in the El Coral School District.● Co-chaired the Peace Corps Nicaragua Gender and Development Committee, which involved working with 12 committee members to promote sustainable gender equity by providing camps, technical trainings, and resources.

● Served as a liaison between volunteers, community, project staff, and the International Office.● Planned and executed a survey of potential host communities and managed housing logistics for volunteers● Facilitated three community-based projects, which included bi-lingual workshops for local youth counterparts and volunteers.● Led educational and cultural excursions for 15 college-aged volunteers.
