I synthesized biocompatible antimicrobial polymers for prosthetic tissue growth applications. I functionalized these materials and evaluated them using cell viability assays.

I express and purify novel virus-like particles for immunological and pharmaceutical applications. Using techniques like mutagenesis and PCR, I am optimizing the process of expressing and purifying these particles, then testing their abilities with bioconjugation and gene manipulation.

I synthesized and modified organic polymers for complex liqiud separations. I build cross-flow machinery and analyzed the performance of the resulting membranes to develop a relationship between the polymers and their resulting membranes' performance.

I screened and identified a naturally-occurring enzyme to catalyze a non-natural hydroarylation reaction. Through protein engineering and directed evolution, I optimized the enzyme and demonstrated the potential of using biological catalysts in non-natural, industrial reactions.

I work with a team of officers to promote an empowering environment for individuals with intellectual and developmental disabilities. Through monthly meetings and social events, I manage and connect with 25-30 members to build lasting friendships.

I work with 7 other advisors on cross-functional teams to build leadership in 30 first-year students. Throughout the year, I empower other Emerging Leaders to take on new service projects and improve their community in and outside of Georgia Tech.

I worked with 25+ members to plan a mental health awareness event for over 500 Georgia Tech students. I developed leadership, professionalism, and community service skills through workshops and projects throughout the year.

I investigated the effects of facial amphiphilicity on antimicrobial activity in bile acid-derived particles. I synthesized various antimicrobial particles and measured their performance through antimicrobial assays. I presented my research through a poster session and oral presentation and was awarded first place for my oral presentation. I subsequently presented my work at the BMES 2021 Conference.

I worked with a team of fellow TAs and instructors to determine evaluation criteria for 10 major assignments and projects. I also provided assistance and advised students through a project concerning engineering bias in healthcare and medical devices.

I analyzed data for hypertension, Post Traumatic Stress Disorder, and pregnancy studies in the Women's Heart Health Lab. I delivered a presentation to over 30 members of the lab over my findings regarding cardiac health in women affected by PTSD.

I observed and shadowed doctors and nurses in departments such as the Catheterization Lab and Labor & Delivery. I also organized employee medical files, marketed and executed public relations events, and printed updated badges for all hospital employees.
