At present, studying the marine ecosystem interactions, spatial-temporal changes, ecosystem vulnerability and climate change impact assessment through geo-statistical models.

Worked in SAC (Space Application Centre) funded project -"New production along Bay of Bengal" as a junior research fellow. During this period, I have participated in numerous scientific cruises onboard research vessels analyzing water quality, chlorophyll, CDOM and new production in Bay of Bengal waters. To derive spatial dataset on the productivity, OCM and MODIS AQUA datasets were analyzed to derive nitrate algorithm for Bay of Bengal region. I maintained quality standards in collection and assessment of environmental data. Apart from these scientific duties, I have helped graduate students on their academics and dissertation works. I also helped principal investigator with daily project operational functions and preparation of project reports. I was also involved in the collection and processing of in-situ optical data using hyperspectral radiometer and SUNA nitrate profiler.

I worked in the ministry of environment and forests funded project - " Evaluation, community participate eco-restoration and awareness creation of the seagrass ecosystem: A fragile coastal wetland". During this period, I have participated in benthic surveys at seagrass ecosystem, community awareness and seagrass transplantation. I was involved in the development of statistical models relating the environmental variables with seagrass cover and growth using statistical tool R. The spatial statistics developed were then used in the development of transplantation suitability models and maps using Erdas imagine 9.1 and ARC GIS 10.1. During this period, I have also volunteered with another research team on an international panel on climate change project entitled “impact of climate change on Indian coral reefs”. I participated in a number of coral reef surveys (Benthic surveys) along Gulf of Mannar and Lakshadweep region and was part of my Ph.D. work.
