➢ Responsible for Order Placement Timing, Supply/Demand Alignment, Material Replenishment and Supplier Performance.➢ Continuously monitoring, evaluating and improving supplier performance.➢ Sourcing the cost effective materials for the company’s manufacturing process requirements.➢ Projecting stock levels & controlling the purchasing budget.➢ Monitoring delivery times to ensure they are on time.➢ Delivering cost savings for the company.➢ Managing the procurement supplier relationships for the company.➢ Helping to source alternative items for buyers and customers.➢ Regularly contacting suppliers to renegotiate prices.➢ Resolving disputes and claims with vendors & suppliers.➢ Keeping all supplier programs current and accurate.➢ Delegating projects/tasks to junior staff, developing relationships with distributors➢ Promoting best practice across the company.➢ Involved in selling off excess, damaged and inventory & stock.➢ Update Purchase Orders (PO) with current delivery information.➢ Expedite components as needed to keep production lines running.➢ Maintain supplier files by keeping them complete and up to date.➢ Follow established guidelines and procedures for field and branch purchases and establish preferred supplier list as required.➢ Review and verify past due PO reports and contact suppliers to address overdue POs.➢ Develop relationships with suppliers in order to resolve delivery and quality concerns.
