Project: MON Number A MON Number is a unique numerical identifier provided to various entities in Monsanto to mask constituent information. This system replaced a decades old manual entry and book keeping mechanism, reducing SLA for MON Number assignment from multiple days to under a minute, and made the data searchable through a UI.Responsibilities:• Followed a two-week Agile Sprint cycle, with deployments to PROD after every Sprint. • Perform analysis and design, develop Web UI and back-end code, participate in code reviews, perform unit, integration and functional testing, deployments and Production support.• Designed and developed the application with J2EE architecture.• Implemented message provisioning between services using Apache Kafka. • Develop RESTful Web Services in Spring to implement service oriented architecture, decoupling the application components. • Wrote Web Front end using ReactJS for the views, writing code in ES6.• Worked closely with the UX Team/End Users to create custom Components, including Redux-aware containers and stateless components in ReactJS. • Wrote custom Actions and Reducers and used Redux to manage state information for the User Interface. • Perform unit, functional and integration testing using JUnit, Jasmine, Jest. • Design and develop NoSQL code for MongoDB database, MON Number data after performing final validation check for uniqueness and structure is inserted as a JSON document.• Deploy build artifacts to Docker containers in AWS and manage cloud deployed services using CloudFoundry. • Used GitHub Enterprise as the Source Code Management tool.Environment: Java, Spring, ReactJS, Babel, Webpack, NPM, JPA, Hibernate, RESTful Web Services, GitHub Enterprise, Maven, Intellij Idea, JUnit, HTML, CSS, Bootstrap, Amazon EC2, Docker, Jenkins, Apache Kafka, JUnit, Jasmine, Jest, Curl, Postman.
