Managing Director
Current-Supervise 5 employees and up to 50 independent contractors during productions and events.-Grant Writer/Main point person for all grants. -Manage all company financials, organizational budget of over 800K annually, budget vs actuals, balance sheet, P&L and assisted CPA with preparing 990.-HR duties include, interviewing and onboarding of new employees, training and payroll set up.-Run payroll and reconcile monthly bank accounts and credit card accounts.Manage insurance compliance needs, business licenses & special event permits.-Negotiate bi-yearly lease, coordinated and communicated with office building manager, landlord and office maintenance staff. -Annually update the company’s Racial Equity Statement and Employee Policy Handbook.-Compile Board packets, minutes, agendas and materials for Board meetings, committee meetings, and Board communications between meetings.-Present quarterly financials to Finance Committee and create a yearly projected budget to be presented at final board meeting for approval. -Manage season programming in coordination with the Founder/Artistic Director, including the annual Gala and Salons.-Produce 20 events per season. Develop each program budget and production calendar and ensure all programs remain on schedule and on budget. -Manage all project contracts and invoices for all programs, including the annual Gala and Salons and negotiate contracts with outside vendors.-Collaborate on development activities, including inviting members and leadership circle to salons, galas and performances, supporting Board and staff at leadership circle events and receptions.-Joined the Los Angeles Dance Worker Coalition, volunteer-based group of arts leaders, from across dance and arts disciplines, who came together in 2021 to advocate for relief and recovery for the dance sector. LADWC partnered with the Los Angeles Department of Cultural Affairs to launch Dance in the Districts, a program designed to support dancers with relief funds.
