Global Monitoring, Evaluation & Insights Officer

Developed internal tracking systems to maintain MEL data in an organized, secure, and easy-to-understand way. Monitored, reviewed, and ensured the quality of MEL data from key partners (including research organizations), mentors, grantees, and technical specialists. Inputted all required training and MEL data into USAID’s online systems as required per the contract. Supported the design and implementation of baseline/midline assessments and other surveys according to the approved workplan. Assisted the Chief of Party and other technical staff in producing regular, timely, and accurate narrative reports (including MEL data) per USAID guidelines. Coordinated with partners to ensure their timely submission of monitoring and evaluation data and examples of project impact that meet Internews’ and USAID standards for quality, detail, and clarity. I was also responsible for assisting the Project Director and other project staff in producing regular, timely and accurate narrative reports (including M&E data) per donor guidelines and working closely with program and HQ staff to revise the reports, as necessary. I was responsible for collecting, verifying, and reporting M&E data in compliance with Sida’s and Internews’ data quality standards. Coordinated with sub grantees to ensure their timely submission of monitoring and evaluation data and examples of project impact that meet Internews’ and donor standards for quality, detail, and clarity. I also supported the designing and implementation of baseline/midline assessments and other surveys according to the approved workplan. Successfully coordinated and managed a research collaboration between Internews, Harvard University researchers and Kubatana titled “Countering misinformation via WhatsApp: Evidence from the COVID-19 pandemic in Zimbabwe”
