Interviewed several clients per day to obtain case specific facts and subsequently researched relevant law in order to efficiently provide legal advice on Landlord/Tenant, Housing Discrimination, Contracts, Collections, Unemployment Benefits, and Public Benefits issues. Honed ability to communicate with and meet the needs of diverse clientele with varying needs.

As a legal extern, I researched and drafted memos pertaining to legal inquiries made by employees of the 58 community colleges in the North Carolina Community College System. My research encompassed issues relating to Education, Employment, Immigration, Property, State Benefits, Criminal Acts and Unemployment. In responding to inquiries, I completed interviews and subsequently researched and applied law to the facts of each inquiry, providing relevant, accessible legal advice. Additionally, I attended State Board meetings and interpreted open meetings law and Robert's Rules of Order applicability to these meetings.

As a judicial intern, I conducted research and drafted memos for chambers after reading parties' pleadings, exhibits, briefs and pending motions. In addition, I viewed chambers and courtroom proceedings, including trials and sentencings. I also completed various clerical tasks.
