Returning to the United States, I transitioned to engineering full time. As a mobile engineer, I worked on Epic's home health & hospice Android applications, with a special focus on media capture and offline capabilities.Prior to becoming a mobile engineer full-time, I created apps in my free time, including a personal assistant app called Owl that I published to the Google play store (this one: https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.application.owl), which enables users to better keep in touch with friends and family.

I took the opportunity to live and work in Epic's European office in the United Kingdom. In addition to my technical services work, part of my time was dedicated towards being the lead developer of Epic's internal question & answer platform.From our office in southwest England I continued my technical services work with client healthcare systems in The Netherlands, UK, Lebanon, and Singapore. I helped these organizations leverage their EMR data to do everything from ensure compliance with GDPR regulations to measure and report on their COVID-19 vaccination rollouts.As a part-time engineer I helped build and direct a team of 4 to create Betelgeuse - Epic's internal question & answer platform - using ASP.NET MVC, C#, and JavaScript. This tool is now a part of daily operations for over 10,000 users.

Returning to technical services, I helped create a new team in Epic's technical services division. I developed a training curriculum for new hires entering the team, created processes for technical services staff to follow, and established expectations for the support our team would provide to customers.As a team lead managing a team of five direct reports, I challenged team members to provide superlative support, enabled them to solve problems independently, and coached them toward cultivating expertise and meeting organization & career goals.I also built and coordinated development on several tools and applications in ASP .NET MVC, C#, JavaScript, and Windows Forms, including leading a team of 10 to create an analytics build & content optimization tool that's used by over 300 healthcare organizations.

As a BI coordinator, I advised healthcare organizations using Epic software to make good organizational decisions informed by data from their electronic medical record system. My focus was on the data models behind Epic's Inpatient clinical applications.My responsibilities included working directly with report writers and business intelligence developers to understand, create content for, and troubleshoot reporting content on several platforms. I also helped organizations get the most out of their reporting teams by managing projects, designing and implementing effective processes, and helping to select and train reporting team staff.In addition to working directly with reporting and analytics staff at healthcare organizations, I acted as a final tier of support for over 200 Epic technical services representatives supporting inpatient clinical reporting content. I also created customer-facing reporting content for platforms including Crystal reports, Business Objects universes, and Epic's native reporting tools.

As a technical services representative, I worked with teams of healthcare software analysts to implement, update, configure, debug, and troubleshoot several clinical applications in Epic's electronic medical record (EMR) software suite. My work involved finding creative solutions to meet physicians' and nurses' needs through software configuration, reading and understanding code (in MUMPS and Visual Basic) languages to troubleshoot issues, and writing fixes and enhancements to application code.

As a Scholar Coach with the Schuler Scholar Program, I worked as an educational counselor and academic coach to a caseload of fifty-five high school sophomores and juniors at Warren Township High School in Gurnee, Illinois. I monitored academic performance and provided support as a tutor to ensure that students were preparing for admission to selective colleges and universities. In pursuit of this goal, I created and delivered supplemental programming on topics such as time management, reading, writing, decision making, mathematics, science, and test preparation.
