As humanitarian analyst, I am responsible for planning and managing UNFPA Pakistan's humanitarian programme in Pakistan. My job is to develop contingency plans, minimum preparedness action plans, implementing Minimum Initial Service Package for Sexual & Reproductive Health and GBV in humanitarian emergencies. I am also working at creating humanitarian-Development Nexus between humanitarian projects and development program in UNFPA and providing technical support to government. I am involved in high level advocacy with government to incorporate MISP in Department of Health (DoH) planning documents. Building partnership and facilitating coordination is a another major role.

 Responsible for technical advisory and advocacy to the Department of Health (DoH) & Population Welfare Department (PWD) in developing and implementing policies and programs to address gaps and disparities in Family planning/sexual reproductive health interventions in the province. Following up on Costed Implementation Plan milestones, FP 2020 indicators and commitments; documenting, discussing, and sharing way forwards for challenges/bottlenecks. Appraising health system workforce and advising departments for capacity strengthening through innovative approaches, such as, task-sharing/task shifting.  Stakeholder analysis to guide departments for partnership building and coordination to prioritize and achieve population development agenda in the province.  Mobilizing political support for increased budgetary allocations for priority interventions and for supporting marginalized communities and underserved areas.  Working with UNFPA program team for managing & monitoring UNFPA strategic work plan implementation in the province.  Providing evidence based information, sharing field experiences and knowledge during review meetings for annual work plan development process.  Guiding UNFPA program design for priority setting and for rational allocation of resources.  Working with UNFPA humanitarian response team for developing and contextualizing RH policy brief for the province and developing MISP emergency plans for humanitarian responses.  Representing UNFPA and co-chairing RH working group meetings in the province, and contributing to RH contingency plans (MISP) development and incorporating GBV and psychosocial support mechanisms in the plan.  Mobilizing government counterparts and NGO partners for prepositioning of resources for humanitarian emergency preparedness and responses

 Responsible for developing a comprehensive primary health care health strategy for AKDN priority valleys in Gilgit-Baltistan and Chitral (GBC). Collect and analyze GBC health related data from Pakistan demographic health survey (PDHS 2012-13), MICS surveys and Quality of life Survey for problem analysis and priority setting in seven years health strategy for priority valleys.  From multiple survey findings, retrieving highly relevant and useful program data for setting baseline and targets in the strategy.  Collecting and analyzing health facility data for assessing diseases trends in remote mountainous regions in GBC.  Collecting and analyzing data on MNCH indicators including vaccination coverage records for priority valleys and suggesting targeted interventions for the regions.  Developing quarterly plans and annual plans for donor funded projects, the outcomes of which are synchronized with regular health program outcomes.  Responsible for developing project monitoring plans with realistically set targets. Tools designed for process and summative evaluation of the projects and regular programs.  From the current medicines and vaccines consumption patterns in different health care centers in GBC, designed tools for pharmacy stock management that included stock requests, monthly drug consumption reports abreast analysis for rational drug prescription.  Responsible for compiling reports from each health facility and developed comprehensive reports with descriptions of the analyzed data and systematic reviews on data trends.  Planned training need assessments and developed capacity building plans with an embedded cascade model of training.

An overall responsibility for strategic management of FATA-KP Health program (USAID-MCHIP global health initiative) in seven districts of Malakand Division. This also included context analysis, development of operational plans, establishing mechanisms for improved coordination and quality assurance. Provided effective leadership support to field teams (District Managers) and their district counter parts in government for revitalization of district health management teams and implementation of Hub (Rural health centre) & Spoke (basic health units/first level care facilities) Model and referral mechanisms.And much more.....

Provided specialized technical support to field teams for utilization of nutrition intervention strategies, developed tools for measuring the performance and quality of the programs. Led a team for situation analysis of disaster impact on health care systems including nutrition during humanitarian emergencies, designed health and nutrition projects with an inbuilt mechanism for sustainability, adaptability and scalability.
