During my second stay in #CIF, the challenges of the Risk rating system have been explored. For the task of estimating the Probability of Default (PD) and Credit Scoring, the high imbalance ratio for the banking datasets is an intrinsic characteristic due to the rare number of defaulters. Here, the Balancing Techniques (BT) suffer from mixed-type variables in order to solve the real-world problem, where the majority of existing methods are designed to handle the imbalanced data issue just in presence of numerical variables, although the real challenges do have mixed-type variables. We designed a balancing technique based on the famous technique of SMOTE to handle this issue and generalize this technique to a much wider area of interest. This work is done as a secondment in the industrial partner of the #BIGMATH project under the rules of the Marie-Curie Ph.D.

For the second time I joind the #SDG group, in order to collaborate and implement the scientific solutions to the challenges of real-world imbalanced data problems in different projects. Here, I have delivered my novel robust over-sampling technique named Robust Mahalanobis-SMOTE (RM-SMOTE). The Propensity Score Matching (PSM) project was chosen as an ideal real-world challenge to test the quality and effectiveness of proposed scientific solution. This work is done as a secondment in the industrial partner of the #BIGMATH project under the rules of the Marie-Curie Ph.D.

I joined the #SDG group as an Early Stage Researcher to perform part of an Industrial Ph.D. position under the rules of the Marie-Curie Ph.D. fellowship. Here I got introduced to various real-world problems dealing with Imbalanced data. Mainly, I have worked on Lead Scoring projects and the data science solutions to the existing imbalanced data problem for the sales campaigns.
