Over the past 20+ years, I have built a solid reputation as the go-to Cementing, Drilling & Completions Fluids Subject Matter Expert (SME) for helping upstream oil and gas companies grow their drilling programs across the US and internationally.Launching my career as a Project Engineer with PDVSA, I quickly moved on to roles of increasing responsibility as a Well Services Field Engineer, Cementing Operations Manager, Lost Circulation Product Champion, and Senior Deepwater Engineer – Drilling Fluids, Cements & Waste Management (F/C/WM) with Schlumberger (2002 to 2013) and Total (2013 to present).In 2017, I was promoted at Total to a Technical Advisor & Performance Improvement Engineer on B32 Angola operations for F/C/WM from 2017 to 2018. From 2018 to the present, I have served as the technical SME over executing all related Drilling Fluids, Cements and Waste Management (F/C/WM) needs for 3 exploratory wells in the USA, Mexico, and French Guiana. In my current role, I lead the Pre-Front End Engineering and Design (Pre-FEED) project phase for the first 20K Deepwater Wells Development Campaign to be drilled starting in Q2-2023. A core aspect of my work is building laboratory testing protocols to validate fluids performance, working with contractual strategy teams on call for tenders related to drilling and completion fluids services, cementing and pumping services, casing hardware and downhole tools, and drilling waste management. I hold a Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering and have 5 publications focusing on exploratory offshore deepwater drilling operations.
