Dr Ravi Modani is the founder of 121 Finance, India's first NBFC-Factor (under RBI's Jan 2022 regulation). Based out of Jaipur, 121 Finance simplifies B2B Trade Credit Finance for MSMEs by Factoring and Working Capital Finance to MSMEs. He is a member of the Factors Association of India. A serial entrepreneur with an experience of 30+ years during which he has managed businesses in several countries and has established a customer network across 32 countries. Dr Modani has used his Doctorate in Working Capital Management to work toward streamlining the unorganised Working Capital space. Dr. Modani is currently working on the huge opportunity that lies with effective and efficient Working Capital Management to grow B2B trading, through Factoring. His goal is to enable every buyer and seller in India to get factoring finance for their smallest invoices, 24x7 with zero human intervention using AI and ML. Dr. Ravi Modani has been an integral part of TiE (The Indus Entrepreneurs) since 2005 and is currently a Governing Council Member of TiE Rajasthan. Under his visionary leadership as the President (2021-23), TiE Rajasthan was honored with the 'Global Best Chapter' award at the TiE Global Summit, a historic first in the chapter's twenty-year history. His groundbreaking initiative, "TiE Startup Premier League," garnered widespread recognition and secured the prestigious “Best Innovative Program Award” at the TiE Global Retreat 2023, in Rio, Brazil.A photography enthusiast, an avid reader, and a student of behavioural economics, Dr Modani can be found spending time discussing financial psychology or studying behavioural economics. He has done some novel real-life work on the subject and formally studied Application of Behavioural Science in Management from IIM Ahmedabad.
