Project Control Engineer
CurrentInvolved in one of the first airports in the world to accommodate unrestricted operations by all commercial aircraft, including the new A380 airliner as part of Qatar Airway's fleet. This HIA Expansion Project will increase the capacity from 35 Million to 60 Million passengers and approx. 6 Million tons of cargo annually and be capable of further expansions. The site area is 1,700 hectares and currently has approximately 100 Aircraft stands and a full range of airport support facilities. Works consists of Passenger Terminal Expansion including the Central Concourse, Apron, Lounges, Hotel, Western Taxi Development, Midfield and Western Fuel Farms, Remote Baggage Facility System and Access Control System along with the Specialist Packages.I am actively involved in Baggage Handling System related Packages/ Projects which includes 1. Design and Build of Remote Baggage Facility System (RTBF) 2. Upgrade of BHS at Passenger Terminal Complex (PTC)Key Responsibilities includes: 1. Review Contractor’s Baseline Programme and ensure its compliance with Schedule Management Plan and other Contract requirements2. Preparation of Integrated Programme to include the Programme of all the interfacing Contractors.3. Review of Contractor's Weekly/ Monthly Reports and lookahead4. Review/ Maintain the project schedule update and validate progress data5. Provide analytical reviews of Critical Path, float and look-ahead schedule to Project team6. Represent Planning Dept. in Client Meetings and be responsible for Project Management Reports7. Contribute in forecast project cost estimates and prepare estimate to complete to Assess the impact of design/construction changes and schedule slippages8. Review/ Update the Project Risk Register and prepare financial impact of risk9. Lead Coordination Meetings with Contractors, Client and Project team10. Highlight any delay risk, evaluate/ record delay events and contribute in Extension of Time (EOT) claims review.
