As the name suggests, we seek our inspiration from Ants; humble insects, who, through dint of working hard, applying themselves to the task at hand and team work, are able to build masterpieces.I am overall responsible for strategy, design, architecture, delivery and maintenance of our products, services and keeping our values intact as we expand. This involves doing a balancing act between acknowledging the creative and methodological aspects of the field, as well as social and engineering processes. Inevitably, we are gravitating towards areas such as Machine Learning, AI and Computer Vision, the difference is that we we are open to designing and validating technical solutions with ethnography, sociology and the basic good sense that comes from keeping eyes and ears open and feet on the ground.

Singapore based Net Vision Corporation (http://www.netvisioncorporation.com) opened a development centre in Gurgaon in June 2015. As Head of Technology, I was responsible for all aspects of developing and maintaining a suite of products to handle HR processes in the maritime industry. The technology platform was the .Net Framework (ASP.NET, MVC and C#).

I worked as the Principal Consultant on a project on eGovernance. The effort involves a) building a theoretical framework for social involvement in the technical process b) developing an informational model based on the theory c) implementing the model using web and mobile phone based protocols. The project is being funded by IDRC, I am working with the Centre for Culture, Media and Governance at Jamia Milia Islamia.

During this period, I was involved in two diverse, though complementing activities. The first involved developing a GUI for time series analysis of Neurobiologcial signals. I was the technical architect and manager for the development team located in Delhi. The data consisted primarily of recordings of EEG/MEG signals. A plug-in architecture was developed whereby new modalities and formats of EEG/MEG data and analysis routine could be plugged into the framework. API’s of analysis routines enabled a command line interface, in effect building an extensible platform for neurobiological time series analysis. There was also a Java wrapper that exposed the main analysis functions to the Java environment. During the course of this development, I decided to engage with the subject area of Neuroinformatics as part of my PhD thesis in the area of Science, Technology and Society Studies. This was the second activity. My background in software development enabled me to conduct an ethnographic study of scientists and researchers in the neurosciences as well software engineers. This was part of my PhD research effort study 'The Emergence of Neuroinformatics in Social Context' . The thesis suggests that the emerging field of Neuroinfomatics (Neuroscience + Informatics) may be better understood as the convergence of science and technology rather as only one or the other. It involved two aspects suggesting that this opens up newer technoscientific as well as social possibilities. In Sep 2010, I left the software project that was embarking on its second phase to complete my PhD thesis.

We primarily develop software products in the mercantile shipping and simulation space. I worked on document management product for the shipping industry.

As a guest lecturer I taught Data Structures, Data mining to students of the Bachelor of Information Technology at Ram Lal Anand College (eve) in Delhi University (South Campus).
