 Performs all purchasing functions efficiently to support a high volume of purchasing requirements for New Construction and Maintenance Initiates purchase orders and amendments for parts, assemblies, spare parts, and services, and/or special tools, arranges for submission or inspection of sample products when required, close coordination with engineering and technicians to assure timely execution of product and services sourcing activities Provided support to the New Construction and Maintenance team Support the Maintenance team in all 87+ terminals, during the Blending Season Coordinates past due purchase orders with vendors. Minimize or reduce purchase order variances Create new part numbers to be used in the system for future orders Secures and analyzes quotations, negotiates prices and terms with suppliers, and recommends suppliers with respect to cost, quality, and delivery competitiveness for assigned responsibilities Coordinate with warehouse the transportation logistics inventory control and management, negotiates prices and delivery terms with guidance from upper management for assigned responsibilities Designed a Form to track purchase orders by tracking numbers for records and future needs. Update Info records on cost for part numbers Revise existing purchase orders with any updates Provide follow up information on all orders created Coordinates all activities concerning suppliers by serving as liaison with other internal departments, vendors, and Project Managers Handled MRP MMSC process in order for the system only read what is in inventory
