About Ray Chan

Supported the development of lightweight and flexible, high-efficiency inverted metamorphic (IMM) multi-junction solar sheet arrays, and its application on to battery-powered unmanned aerial vehicles (UAVs) including small hand-launched platforms (i.e. AeroVironment Raven and Puma) and large stratospheric vehicles (i.e. Airbus Zephyr, BAE PHASA-35) capable of continuous multi-month flights. Experienced in the development and production ramp of new process technologies - particularly with regards to solar cell testing and packaging, semiconductor wafer-level electroplating, and CuSn pillar bump (flip-chip). Designed numerous process control programs using LabView and Vee to control production tools for recipe upload and process data download thereby reducing operator errors and storing process data for continuous process improvement. Actively designed and maintained several databases with web-based interfaces using MS Access, MySQL, and PHP to provide process control and data logging for production and engineering use.Implemented and used SPC and DOEs to improve process quality, capability, and throughput.Specialties: Photovoltaics, electroplating, process development, production ramp.
