Leading a Community Of Practice which involved team members from all of the European manufacturing sites focussing on extrusion processes. The aim to identify best practices and then to standardise them quickly across the Divison in all aspects from health and safety, quality, operating, problem solving etc using Microsoft Sharepoint as the vehicle to review and track progress. this was a challenging but rewarding cultural change experience.

This was a rare opportunity to work in China with the goal of stabilising production at LINPAC's only packaging facility in Asia manufacturing PVC stretch wrap film.This role covered all aspects of the business from Operations and Logistics to Finance.This role was very rewarding and the business turnaround project delivered.

Involved in Operations Management for the Howden manufacturing facility.Controlling several factories including, back panel production, flat packing operations, rigid build, detailed joinery build and worktop manufacturing facilities.This role involved significant change including closing factories, downsizing and re-organising others to meet the changing needs of the Operational aspect of this business.

As a manufacturing engineer at Linpac Packaging i was involved in mainly in six sigma/business improvement projects. The use of statistical analysis tools was part of the daily routine along with lean manufacturing tools and techniques.

I completed my mechanical engineering apprenticeship with NSK-RHP Bearings. I was fortunate enough to benefit from having a Japanese mentor during that time. During this time i gained experience in lean manufacturing, six sigma, TPM, Operations Management, cultural change, early equipment management etc. My last key role with them was factory relocation.
