Upon developing the scope of a project and estimating the total cost, I go to management for funding approval and set up the funds needed to complete a project. Finances are managed through the entirety of a project to ensure that projects are not over-spent, with a drive to 'stretch' and use less than estimated.As the Site Engineering Contact for Paper Converting, I work very close with the Engineering Group located at our Central Facilities in Cincinnati, OH. In Ohio, new innovations are developed to create new and improved products, testing is completed on new equipment developments to drive converting speed increases and product reliability (how well a product is made without down-time), and the fleet of converting lines across the U.S. are managed as a 'Platform' to ensure we all run the same. As the Site Engineering Contact, I keep communications open between the central engineering team and the local plant. I receive Engineering Packages for new developments that I in turn use to Procure Equipment, Schedule Installation, and help with the Start-Up of the new equipment and ensure there are no negative effects of the new installation.
