I teach children and adults on the following instruments; violin (fiddle), viola, cello, double bass, guitar, banjo, mandolin, and harmonica. I also coach a variety of student ensembles including a string quartet, elementary string ensemble, a jazz ensemble and a fiddle band. I coach and accompany fiddle students in fiddling contests.I accompany many younger students for talent shows in their schools. I work with more advanced students in performances for weddings, receptions, local music festivals and similar events on a semi-professional basis.

I have considerable practical skill in the silviculture of mixed hardwood plantations. I also do contract reforestation work, primarily in direct seeding of oaks for urban and suburban land owners. I am the developer of Oaks From Acorns; a program which teaches land owners, school students and conservation organizations how to successfully plant and grow native oaks and other nut bearing trees from seed. I perform semi-professionally in a wide variety of venues including restaurants,weddings, receptions, regional festivals, tour trains, radio programs, theater pit orchestras, recording studios, and street fairs. I am a solid, competent player on several instruments including violin (&fiddle), cello, viola, guitar, banjo, mandolin, double bass, harmonica and guitar. I have good sight reading skills, am an excellent improvisor, and am highly skilled as a guitar accompanist for singer and instrumentalists. Styles of music that I can play include classical, folk, jazz, pop, a wide variety of ethnic music and many others. I am currently seeking a working band to perform with and a competent rhythm guitarist to accompany me on a variety of duo gigs which I perform on a regular basis.
