As Director of Public Works, my role included leading a talented group of employees in the Gaston County Public Works Department. The department included Facilities Maintenance, Fleet Maintenance, Solid Waste/Recycling, Printing, Court support services, and select facility grounds maintenance. The department also included engineering, capital project estimating and budgeting, design, financial management, and project implementation for water and sewer projects, building construction, additions and renovations, park and recreational projects, parking lots, and other capital needs.
