My current position includes responsibility for our direct care operations serving over 500 individuals across the state of Ohio. I am passionate about person-centered care, and helping each individual find their passion, and for many, their connection to the greater community.The more experience I have, the more I realize that all of our efforts are only as good as the person who provides the service - our Direct Support Professionals (DSPs). Only they can determine whether each person we serve has a great day or a terrible one. My goal is to support these wonderful people who have made the commitment to serve.

As Director of Quality, Innovation and Planning, I consolidated several activities within the county board that were in need of improvement. I reformed the behavior support department, hiring people with an eclectic view of behavior to serve people with a wide variety of needs.We developed a host of computer software to augment our reporting needs, saving hundreds of working hours and improving our ability to respond quickly to situations.We developed the Community Connection Manager, software that allowed us to match the people we served with our community partners in an effort to help individuals with disabilities take their chosen place in the community.

Kiba Technologies was the maker of the Cyrano Communicator, a small, hand-held AAC (Augmentative and Alternative Communication) device. Using both pictures and text our product provided a method of communication for people who have lost their ability to speak. Specifically designed for people with autism, our product has also been used for a variety of other disabilities. Due to the specialized nature of our product, this company is operated as a micro-enterprise.

Fairfield County Board of DD serves about 900 individuals throughout the county. In my position I manage the operations of the Opportunity Center, an adult habilitation program, and a working production facility serving about 180 people.

Primarily responsible for preparing the company for the future by way of automated production, and gaining a greater web presence through personalized web based design tools. Member of the Board of Directors, as well as the Administrative Committee of the ESOP. Along with managing the front end of the company, primary responsibilities include product design and development. Key Achievements Responsible for all of our IT efforts. This includes the creation of four commercial applications, and our own in-house order entry and production system.Responsible for changing our manufacturing facility from legacy printing presses todigital presses, and implementing a digital workflow.Designed the company catalog annually for 6 years. In addition to my managementresponsibilities with the company, I am also proficient in design, and I often used thoseskills to create company literature and promotions, and to help our clients put theirvision on paper.Devised and implemented a "print management" production concept. In our anchoraccount, we provide total print coordination for an insurance company in Columbus,OH. We provide storage and fulfillment, digital print solutions, and farm out the workbetter produced by other vendors. In all, we bill through 6 channels of service ­ andcoordinate all of the elements through personalized on-line print managementsoftware.

As a Sales Representative, responsibilities included developing a 10 state sales territoryfrom Dallas to Seattle and west, along with some accounts in Manhattan. Secured theNature Company and J Crew, among others, on the way to developing $3mm inaccounts.Assisted in troubleshooting computer related issues on press, which eventually led tothe appointment as Computer Operations Manager for the company.Key AchievementsPart of the team that secured the Stamps by Mail account from the United States PostOffice. My role included creating an application that would allow for order entry ofthousands of orders from individual post offices, and processing those orders into datathat would be used at press to personalize each piece, along with special bar codes totrigger boxing labels, automatic packing lists and tracking information.Devised and implemented the company wide move to high-speed ink jet imaging in-linewith our presses, at speeds of up to 1000 feet per minute. Eventually grew this businessto include well over $12mm worth of ink jet equipment, 30 staff, and millions of dollarsin revenue.Leader of a team that secured the Bose Electronics account. Besides coordination, mydirect contribution was a web mounted application that allowed for tracking andproduction of over 1 billion pieces annually. Although fully developed in less than onemonth, this application won the President's Award from the Bose Corporation forinnovation in production.
