Abound Credit Union, with $2.3 billion in assets, serves 130,000 members throughout central Kentucky. My role at the credit union includes:- Develop strategies to enhance the value of the credit union for members and the communities we serve- Deliver products and services that improve members lives- Coach employees to effectively serve membersMy work has helped the credit union:- Increase non-interest income --- Through a revised training, coaching and tracking program, payment protection non interest income increased by 400% between 2009 and 2013. Claims paid to members has increased at the same pace during this time.- Enhance efficiency – By revising a branch staffing strategy in an environment where in-branch transactions continue to decline, the credit union was able to reduce overall annual staffing costs at branches by 10%. This savings is returned to members.- Give back to members – A focus on training and sales of the credit union’s rewards card increased credit card member penetration from 12% in 2009 to 21% 2013. Loan balances outstanding on the card doubled during this time. The rewards program for the card has returned millions of dollars back to members.
