In the past ten years, I worked hard! Got involved in a number of non-profit organisations (sports, social, civil society, youth, music), played different sports, and watched many films. And, I had a 'handful' job. I worked within the Managing Authority of Malta, the single Authority managing Structural and Cohesion Funds programmes. After starting as a lower-scale officer, within 5-years, I climbed the career ladder up to Senior Management level. This job got into me; I spent nights and weekends working to ensure a job well done. Reaching targets was all-over my head. I had a fantastic team, whom I could trust and lead to overcome any challenges that came in the way. This sounds stressful, but I loved doing this job. A sense of pride instilled within me, gave me the scope to work harder and got me interested to learn more about the subject of the management of European Funds, to explore their 'limits'. And here I am today, facing a 'new' adventure. I teamed up with Trevor, a long-term colleague and friend, and we created EuropeanFunds.info... this is an opportunity to share my experience and knowledge with whom is eager to learn more about the practical side of the management of European Funds. It is my pleasure to relay my knowledge to others, aiming to simplify this 'sometimes' complex subject.
