Headhunted to build a UK Grocery business from scratch with full autonomy to recruit people, distributors, develop a range of products and deliver the Starbucks brand products to UK consumers. I had full accountability for the UK P&L, Annual Operating Plan and Supply Chain Agreements.A highlight for me was the introduction of a new branded range, consisting of a range of Starbucks roast and ground coffee, instant coffee and chilled ready to drink products suitable for the UK grocery market valued at £8m within 18 months.

I created a NPD roadmap for new and existing products, including packaging and labeling updates to improve the visual presentation of products. I handled a portfolio of major National Accounts including Sainsbury's and M&S. By analysing consumer trends and working hard with the development team delivered a portfolio of new products, competitively priced which gained new business with Sainsbury's, M&S and Asda. Successfully delivered on time and in full M&S Fairtrade beverage range. Working collaboratively with technical, factory and buying teams to more than exceed expectations.
