I am a life long IBMer with a great deal of experience in all things technical with a passion for helping people get the most out of technology. Whether it is helping people migrate from one mail system to another or upgrading complex environments In essence I am a technology geek with a particular interest in IBM hardware and software. I started my career installing and connecting cables to run critical dealer rooms in Barclay's Bank South Africa. My favorite moment(s) have always been powering up huge IBM Mainframes I assisted in installing. Working with IBM hardware was always interesting and a challenge and it is amazing to see how technology has moved forward.I am passionate about Open Source technologies and was/is one of the IBM Open Desktop champions helping transition users to Open Source desktops.
