I am committed to the exploration of embodiment as an artistic, cultural, and social practice. I create bridges between multiple constituencies, launching initiatives to deepen and expand on the axial foci, and further develop capacities to serve as an ambassador for civic engagement with partners and peers in the fields of dance, administration, program development, teaching, culture building, community engagement.I have served as the chair of the B.A. in dance at the University of the Americas Puebla in Mexico (2008-2018) and have been a co-director and educational consultant for the Center for Body Mind Movement, an international, non-academic, professional training program for adults, since 2010. As a multi-year member of the Board of Directors of the International Somatic Movement Education and Therapy Association, I have gained valuable insight into non-profit organizational management, leadership, and strategic planning.Among many skills and duties, I have experience in instructional design; developing methodologies for excellence, assessment, and evaluation that meet accrediting body standards. I have also collaborated in strategic recruitment and operational plans with colleagues, overseen and monitored external outreach, and maintained strategic relationships with stakeholders. My teaching experience is extensive. I have held various teaching and facilitation roles, both internationally and within the U.S., creating and delivering content to multiple constituencies through inclusive pedagogical methods.I have also initiated, planned, and coordinated vision, logistics, communication, operations, promotion, programming, and collaboration for over 25 arts and culture festivals and educational intensives, and participated in and presented research results in numerous regional, national, and international conferences, performances, community settings, and publications.My skills in operational support, as well as my proficiency in English and Spanish, allow me to connect with people from diverse backgrounds and facilitate effective communication and collaboration.
