Responsible for the management of over 30 projects throughout the metropolitan New York area, including several of the largest large-scale waterfront development projects in New York. Supervised a staff of 22 scientists, designers, and professionals in the preparation of Environmental Impact Statements, traffic engineering studies, site planning, large scale waterfront development plans, urban design studies and land use planning projects. Coordinated all graphics computer operations, training, and developed our in-house computer aided design system.

Analyzed candidate locations and subsequently developed plans for the revitalization of the NYC waterfront. Responsible for all phases of project management, including lease negotiations, financial projections and analyses, management scheduling, contract administration, computer modeling, CADD and construction management. Established the graphics computer system and trained staff in computer operations. Supervised the preparation of Requests for Proposals and authored urban design guidelines.

Directed the Comprehensive Plan for New York City’s extensive 12,000-acre park and recreation system. Responsible for project management, consultant supervision and scope-of-work development for City-wide parks and recreation projects. Directed staff in preparing waterfront recreation plans, site feasibility studies and management operations plans. Responsible for review of Battery Park City marinas, parks and promenade plans.

Directed urban commercial district studies, downtown development projects and community development plans for the largest architectural/engineering firm in New York City. Supervised revitalization plans, including the Bay Shore Downtown Revitalization Study. Participated in numerous large-scale public facility feasibility plans and zoning ordinance studies throughout metropolitan New York, New Jersey and Connecticut.

Developed annual Borough-wide strategies for allocating and monitoring over $10 million in Federal Community Development funds earmarked for Brooklyn. Directed comprehensive plans for the Coney Island peninsula, the Steeplechase Amusement Area, and prepared urban design studies for large-scale infill housing projects for mixed-use communities.
