• Worked in the Risk/Controls/Security area as it relates to Cargill’s Unix environment (1000+ servers).

• Helped implement McAfee Vulnerability Management and insured that all Unix were secure.

• Worked on a number of projects in the Unix/Linux area.
• Involved in the design, operational readiness, and implementation of 4 Veritas Cluster environments (VCS). This allowed the affected Business Unit to grow.
• Built a number of Linux servers that hosted Oracle databases at newly acquired remote plants. This allowed the Business Units to run these new plants as they ran existing plants.
• Transitioned the support of 50+ Linux servers to a new support team. The new support team now successfully supports those servers.

• Transitioned the support of a subset of Unix servers from the Cargill team to the CSC team (outsourcer). Knowledge transfer and coaching was provided to the CSC team.
• Acted as North American Queue Manager and assigned incoming Remedy Incidents to the various members of the Level 2 Operations teams (Windows, Unix, iSeries, and Storage). During this time, defined the Queue Manager.
• Performed financial cost recovery for the Unix supported by DCS (2005-2011).

Greater Minneapolis-St. Paul Area

• Responsible for the members of the Level 2 Operations team which worked on Unix related problem tickets (Remedy Incidents). The team consisted of 10-13 members scattered throughout the globe.
• Interviewed and trained potential new members.
• Insured proper processes and documentation were in place so that the team operated smoothly. During this period the environment consisted of 400+ servers (HPUX, Red Hat Linux, Sun Solaris, and IBM AIX) scattered.
• Travelled 3 times to Argentina for mentoring and training purposes.
