Logistics Technician - Inventory Control
CurrentDescriptionResponsible for various area of inventory integrity and control in the warehouseDuties and Responsibilities• Directs and manage the activities and work of direct reports to ensure that all work within a specific team is completed to the required standards and in line with GAL operating policies and procedures• Provides updates on all items received ensuring they are properly inspected according to current policies and procedures. Conducts regular Cycle Count or Inventory Check as per agreed schedule• Manages the day-to-day operations of the section to ensure that work processes are implemented as designed and comply with established policies, processes and procedures• Ensures all identified scrap items are properly processed according to current policies and procedures• Works closely with Inspectors and Storekeepers setting priorities and objectives both long and short term• Ensures all set Key Performance Indicators (KPI) are achieved at all times• Ensures all items for dispatch are properly packed and all items required for deployment are prioritized and processed according to set standards. Ensures all items identified for War Reserves are maintained and consistently rotated • Assigns, coordinates and directs the work activities of the Warehouse section to maximize productivity and minimize cost while maintaining quality and promoting safety, plant housekeeping and employee morale• Plan and schedule employee’s leave and all mandatory trainings not to affect daily operations. • Effectively works with Supervisor on finding resolution to pending CARs with QA• Performs other related duties or assignments as directed, Attend daily production meeting in the absence of Supervisor
