Software description: Degraded Visual Environment SystemResponsibilities:- Took over managing an internal R&D effort for building a prototype system that performs an OpenCV based image stitching from multiple cameras inputs.- Took over development of a C based Linux application that runs on a COTS Cockpit Display Unit and functions as a means of controlling the SNC developed Degraded Visual Environment (DVE) system. The development efforts include updates to the user interface, ethernet message structure, as well as various external subsystem interfacing (e.g. discretes and RS-422).- Participated in a tailored DO-178 certification to develop the software requirements, designdocumentation, and verification artifacts for the general-purpose libraries, aircraft interfacing applications, and Cockpit Display application used in an SNC developed DVE system.

Software description: Fruit sorting softwareResponsibilities:- Lead rewrite of a VB6 legacy fruit sorting management application to a C# and WPF with MVVM based application. The rewrite included redesigning the database using SQL Server Express and updating the report generation to use ReportViewer. - Created a WPF application that communicates with the image processing based fruit sorting application to be able to display the processing results in a more modern user interface design. The communication was done via named pipes.- Evaluated fruit defect classification algorithm results for readiness and integrated them into the main application.

The software libraries are used in a WPF with C# and MFC with C++ based applications. My development tasks involved writing development specifications, writing test documentations, bug fixing, evaluating functionalities, and implementing user interface updates.- Explored NXOpen C++ API functionalities as proof of concept to be able to extract information about a CAD model’s Geometric Dimensioning and Tolerancing annotations and feature associations within the NX environment.

The result was the speeding up of the analysis report delivery because of the formatting automation- Initiated the creation of small VB script based helper functionalities within one of the metrology machine software that simplified and automated machine configuration. The code of the machine’s software was partially opened to allow extension of its functionalities
