I became chartered in 1980 while working for the British Steel Corporation and have since become recognised as an authoritative voice in temporary works, structural and civil engineering. I am an active technical advisor on the Scaffolding Association committee.I am the founder and managing director of RDG Engineering. I believe that the understanding of solid engineering principles is key to providing a customer-centric service and developing innovation in temporary works. Over the years, RDG has grown to be inclusive of engineers from all backgrounds within the industry, creating a community for the continuous development of innovation.RDG is built on trusted expertise which is ingrained into the ethos of the company. Our customer-centric approach focuses on providing a positive experience for our customers by ensuring the correct balance between engineering principles and customer needs. I believe in sharing leading knowledge for the development of innovation within construction and have spoken at over 150 conferences and companies across the UK.
