Supervise the daily operations, personnel and production of the US Army's Test Measurement and Diagnostic Equipment Laboratory at Ft. Wainwright, AK. Study and analyze work operations and make changes in workflow, methods, and priorities. Act as liaison with other segments of USATA and customers to insure the most effective and efficient program. Make assignments; furnish technical advice and assistance; make available written instructions and reference materials. Complete weekly ISSL tool and Flagged IMRF reports to identify discrepancies. Establish SOP's for all functional areas of Lab. Ensure compliance with all USATA, Dept of the Army and Dept of Defense safety and quality regulations. Validate calibration procedures. Perform quarterly in process review audits. Calibrate and repair a wide variety of precision measurement standards and diagnostic test equipment (e.g., electronic, hydraulics, pneumatics, RF/microwave, physical, mechanical and aviation). Read technical manuals, diagrams and schematics to troubleshoot and perform repairs to the component level. Ensure all calibrations performed maintain traceability to NIST. Maintain calibration report data on lab calibration standards. Perform root cause analysis and determine necessary corrective actions. Develop Job Safety Analysis for all lab functional areas. Maintain SDS binder. Coordinate with customers to ensure equipment readiness of more than 95%. Maintained, troubleshot, repaired, modified and installed various types of electronic and computer systems for US ARMY Gunnery Training Simulation Devices (PGT, COFT, AGTS, BATS-G).
