I have worked as a roofing engineer since 1984 when I joined the firm of Robert M. Stafford Consulting Engineers, Charlotte, NC. In 1989, I moved to Atlanta to start a roof consulting department for Soils and Materials Engineers (now known as S&ME, Inc.). Due to significant changes due to the ownership changes, I started Raymond Engineering in 1992.Since that time, the firm has grown from a single person operation to 80+ people and offices in Conyers, GA; Greer, SC; Raleigh, NC; Richmond, VA; Savannah, GA; Orlando, FL; and MIami, FL.; with one project office at Robins Air Force Base, GA.Additionally, we have expanded our capabilities from roofing engineering/consulting to becoming a full-service engineering-architectural firm with capabilities in building envelope, architecture; interior design; structural, civil, mechanical, electrical, and plumbing engineering; construction management; and facilities commissioning. We perform work for such clients as the US Department of Defense, the Veterans Administration, Lockheed-Martin, K-12 and higher educational institutions throughout the Southeastern United States, US Department of State; local and state governments; and a variety of commercial clients, which includes a rather large cruise line. Specialties: Roofing/waterproofing consulting and engineering which includes evaluation surveys, re-roofing design, construction administration, quality assurance inspections, water and air barrier testing; site, facility, and building envelope commissioning, architecture; interior design; structural, mechanical, electrical, and plumbing engineering; and litigation support services.Our firm has or is currently working at locations over much of the United States; Stockholm, Sweden, Hong Kong, and Puerto Rico; and currently have overseas contracts for work in the Bahamas, US Virgin Islands, Ghana, Chad, and Afghanistan
